Doctor Biography

Prof.(Dr.) Syed Abdul Wadud completed his MBBS from university of Chittagong in 1985. He obtained his Masters of surgery in Ophthalmology from University of  Dhaka in 1997. He also obtained his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh College of  Physicians and Surgeons in the year 1999. He has done postgraduate fellowship in Oculoplastic surgery under Prof. Imran Akram Sahaf  FRCS from Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore, Pakistan. He has also done fellowship from International Council of Ophthalmology, London, UK. He served as an Staff  Ophthalmologist  in Bangladesh national blindness survey, first of its kind, in 2000 which was carried out with the collaboration of London school of  tropical medicine  and Royal Commonwealth  Society for the Blind (An UK based NGO) under the guidance of  Prof.Gordon Johson. He has several publications and presentations to his credit  at national and international forum. He is an examiner of undergraduate and post graduate examinations in ophthalmology. At present he is holding  the position of  Professor of  Ophthalmology at Bangabandhu  Sheikh  Mujib Medical University, Dhaka.
